Forensic Healthcare Practitioner Week (FHPWeek) is a vital celebration recognising the diverse contributions of Forensic Healthcare Practitioners (FHPs) in the UK, a group integral to both healthcare and justice systems. Spanning a week, FHPWeek highlights the essential roles played by nurses, paramedics, midwives, and doctors within police custody and Sexual Assault Referral Centres. With inspiration drawn from the International Association of Forensic Nurses’ Forensic Nurses Day, UKAFNP aims to foster inclusivity and awareness of the full spectrum of the forensic workforce, honouring their dedication and impact on communities nationwide.

This year’s theme builds on UKAFNP’s 2024 conference, “Empower Wellbeing: Overcoming Inequalities in Health and Justice”, by focusing on the unique experiences of neurodivergent nurses, paramedics, midwives, and doctors working in these demanding roles.
